6:30pm - WAMS Band meets, dressed in "Concert Black" attire, in the band hall at Galena Park High School

7:00pm - WAMS Band performs in the Galena Park High School Auditorium

Uniform for this concert is: Concert Black

• Girls: Black dress pants or black dress skirt that touches your ankles with a black dress top. Shoes must be black dress flats.

• Boys: Black dress slacks with a black belt and a black tucked-in long sleeve button up dress shirt. Shoes must be black dress shoes with long black socks.

Wednesday, May 6th (During the school day)

This performance will count as a major grade. Students must have at least 80% or higher on playing tests, good behavior overall in band and in school in order to participate. The performance is free and parents are encouraged to attend if able.

Thursday, May 7th (During the School Day)

Next Thursday, May 7th is the GPISD Physical Day! We are offering to take 8th grade band students who will be going to Galena Park High School or North Shore Senior High next year and continuing band! Students will need a physical for high school marching band. We will leave at the beginning of Advisory and be back towards the end of 6th period. 

GPISD Fine Arts is offering a discounted physical rate of $5 for band students to complete their physical with band since these students will need it for high school marching band next year. Students will be given a BLUE physical form by me that will need to be completed and signed and brought with them on the day of our physical day. If you would like your child to complete their physical with band, pay the $5 physical fee (linked to this message and on the flyer attached), and have them bring their BLUE physical form with them next Thursday
